Online counselling across the UK

Person-centred therapy with a BACP-registered counsellor. Sessions available wherever you are in the UK, in evenings and at weekends.

Wherever you are in the UK

I work online with adults and young adults from across the UK — England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Whether you're in a city, a small town, or somewhere in between, our sessions take place over secure video call, so location isn't a barrier.

For many people, online counselling is what makes therapy possible at all. You don't need to factor in travel time, find a clinic that fits around work, or sit in a waiting room. You just need a quiet, private space, a stable internet connection, and an hour to yourself.

Person-centred therapy

My approach is person-centred. I'll meet you where you are, without judgement, and we'll work at your pace. There's no structured programme to follow and no homework between sessions.

It's a collaborative conversation grounded in empathy and respect, where you set the agenda and we explore what feels most important to you.

Working with a BACP-registered counsellor

Counselling and psychotherapy aren't legally regulated professions in the UK, which means anyone can call themselves a counsellor.

BACP Registered Member (No. 411154), working within the BACP Ethical Framework. Membership means I've met the training, ethical, and ongoing professional development standards set by one of the UK's leading professional bodies, and that I'm accountable to its complaints process.

It's a meaningful signal of professional commitment, and worth checking for whoever you choose to work with.

Sessions that fit around your life

I offer sessions in the evenings and at weekends. This is deliberate: many of the people I work with are balancing therapy alongside work, study, caring responsibilities, or family life, and the standard 9-to-5 weekday slot doesn't always work.

All sessions run in UK time. Bookings are made through a simple online calendar and confirmed by email.

How online sessions work

We meet over a secure video link that I'll send you before our first session. You don't need to download anything special — just a device with a camera and microphone, and a private place to sit. If video doesn't suit you, telephone sessions are an option too.

For more detail on the practicalities — including what to expect from your first session — see How it works.

Where I'm based

I'm based in Cheshire, but my practice is online and UK-wide. Most of the people I work with have never met me in person — and that works well for them.
